This is the 9th Annual Richard M. Milanovich Legacy Hike/5K, the most important, fun, and challenging local athletic event held in Indian Canyons Palm Springs. Whether hiking is used for a corporate function, employee appreciation, or family fun, hikes will begin at about 7:30 am shuttles will take hikers from the parking area to the designated hike start location. Hikes will be limited to groups of 30 hikers. Hikers will be assigned to Trail Guides for their chosen hikes on a first-come, first-served basis. Departure times for hikes will be staggered so participants will complete hikes and meet in the celebration area as close to 10:45 am as possible.

Runners start at registration and proceed south into Indian Canyons through the toll gate heading up towards the Trading Post. Runners will pass Cahuilla Landmarks such as Andreas Canyon to the west. Continuing up the road, runners will pass an old gas station, proceed through split rock, continue south past West Fork make a sharp left up to the Trading Post and finish at Palm Canyon, the world's largest Fan Palm oasis.
